The pain of saying goodbye

 The pain of saying goodbye

The pain of saying goodbye, it cuts so deep,

A weight on the heart, a promise to keep.

The words catch in my throat, too hard to speak,

As if the soul is broken, the spirit weak.

Hello Mr Kobi

In that moment, time stands still,

The world fades away, against my will.

Your face in my mind, your touch in my soul,

A love once whole, now a painful hole.

Goodbyes are never gentle, never kind,

They leave behind memories, tangled and blind.

The laughter we shared, now echoes in air,

A silent reminder of the love we used to wear.

I want to hold on, but I have to let go,

Forcing myself to walk away, moving slow.

Each step is heavy, each breath a strain,

As I try to hide the tears, the lingering pain.

The hardest part is not the end,

But knowing there’s no more to mend.

The pain of goodbye, it lingers and stays,

A haunting whisper through empty days.

But even in sorrow, I carry your name,

A part of me, forever the same.

Goodbyes may break, but love will remain,

In the echoes of loss, and the silence of pain.
