The end of a journey
The road behind me fades from view,
A trail of memories, old and new.
The mountains high, the valleys deep,
The promises I swore to keep.
I've walked through storms, faced the sun,
Chasing dreams that never run.
The miles were long, the path unsure,
But through it all, I had to endure
Now I stand at the journey’s end,
No more roads to twist and bend.
The dust has settled, the skies grown clear,
What was once distant, now draws near.
The steps I took, the lessons learned,
The bridges crossed, the fire burned.
Every tear, every laugh, every sigh,
I carried them all beneath the sky.
And though the end may call me near,
I feel no sorrow, no trace of fear.
For in the closing of this gate,
A new horizon waits to create.
The end of one, the start of another,
A cycle unbroken, like no other.
So let me rest, for now I know,
The journey’s end is where we grow.
